I called and asked for the lower price, and they gave it to me.
$50 is just another cost of doing business. Same as a cell phone, internet, dropbox, paper, printer/toner, computers, etc, etc. If you dont need CC for business, then the alternatives are out there... However, if you are a die hard photoshop person, the $10 a month photographer bundle is a great thing in my book.

Did they definitely stop selling CS6? Thought you could still order it over the phone. Of course, they will try to sell you something else (CC).

I'd be buying it with the homeschool qualification. Not sure if I can get it from collegebuys with that.

If you let it expire, you have a grace period within which to renew.
During that time, they will usually offer a 10% discount over the regular subscription rate.
