and I was just starting to like graylocks again.... ;-)
Back in the early 1970's, Little Caesar's was OK, almost bordering on decent, but it was cheap and convenient. When cheap and convenient were no the longer headliners of pizza qualifications, somewhere in the mid/late 70's, I pretty much forgot about the diminutive, togaed, pizza tosser until he showed up again in conjunction w/ Baby Buzz's apré-sports team feedings. That was after a hiatus approaching three decades. Somewhere, somehow, and sometime along that stretch, L'il Mr. Caesar lost his pizza making mojo, in a seriously big way. Now, if by some chance his pizza near the Atlantic is somewhere close to what it was here, near the Pacific close to fifty years ago, I can let peeps enjoy it without critique. But, if they've got the same crap they're serving here, back there, I don't know how they've got the stones to even call it "pizza". I *REALLY* hope it's better back there than it is out here, cuz even our ever-growing homeless population won't eat that stuff if you buy it for them. OTOH, pizza is one of Costco's best perks, right up there w/ the $5 roasted chickens.... both of which the local homeless will happily scarf up. ==

Grandma pizza FTW. But it might fall in your "fancy" category, in which case 99cent NYC pizza for the budget win!
If you live near an Asian community, a steaming hot roast pork bun is a near perfect budget meal when hungry. Price is about a buck. ![]()

What's so bad about Little Caesar's?

m&p pizza or nothing.
when I leave NY area, I skip pizza as it's pretty much pointless with a very few exceptions. like having Mexican out of Ca or Tx or Mexico itself. eat local. in Daytona Beach years ago, the client bought the working crew some big chain pizza for the wrap as that was all there was. positively grotty. CPK pineapple pizza was better. yech! I think we ate beach sand instead.

.......no pizza shaming.....pizza is like sex....even the 'worse' is still pretty good......chain's like Domino's etc offer good bargains for semi-good pizza......you can often get 2 pizzas there for the price of 1 at a 'hand made' place.......no pizza snob......

I remember when their pizza was pretty good. Just like I remember when McDonald's milkshakes were good. Empirically, their product is absolutely mediocre, and since it's usually served out of a "hot box" it's not all that fresh. Pizza isn't brain surgery, It's not that hard to make a good one. The worst compliment I get on the road is "This is really good. Just like Pizza Hut". If the end of your hamburger world is McDonald's don't hit a Five Guys or Elevation Burger. You'll cry over a misspent life. If the best ice cream you ever had was an Eskimo Pie, you'll never be the same after a Dove Bar. Ditto with chocolate, if all you eat is a chocolate bunny at Easter or a Sant at Christmas, Lindt is going to make you question your life. So, it's a given. It's crap, it's not going to kill you, and there's nothing wrong with it. But don't go comparing it to good pizza. It's like comparing Ramen to restaurant LoMein or Velveeta to Cheddar Cheese. That dog don't hunt.

With Pizza you also usually get at least two, maybe three meals, which is a big plus.
