Do folks have local owned doughnut shops nearby?

Yes, it's even in close walking distance, but I've never been there.

Locals to Anchorage:
Dinos Donuts
Golden Donuts
Wiki WIki Hawaiian Donuts

Probably a few others. Plus the grocery stores, a KK or two, etc.

We had two locally owned donut shops that derived from one family. A few years ago, they merged back into one and have been very successful. They have a central bakery and truck fresh donuts to their stores every morning. On the weekends, the stores using close a little after 10AM as they're sold out.

Adams Donuts here in Greenfield, been around for decades. The ownership just recently changed from what I can tell, they closed back in July, and new owners opened the shop back up in November. Will have to check them out at some point, there had been a small decrease in quality the previous ownership change, will have to see how well the original recipes transferred.

They are only open in the morning, make the donuts fresh early and close at 12:30. They also make and server breakfast sandwiches.

I'll keep that in mind next time I'm in Greenfield. But generally we stop at the Wagon Wheel, and their doughnuts are decent.

Unless they have a seriously high turnover rate those "local" donuts have been sitting there getting cold. Boooo.

There's also Granny's Donuts on Western and Summerland.

I keep forgetting we're Pedro neighbors. When this whole COVID thing is behind us, we should get together for a beer.
