Fewer Walgreens across the street from CVS stores?

We don’t have any pharmacies except one Walgreens for a 25 minute drive or so. When you’re sick, that is important. I hope they don’t close ours… mail order is doable when it works well and if you don’t need anything new soon.

I used to work for Brooks (that became Rite Aid and then got eaten up by Walgreens). This store was about 4-5 other pharmacies in my lifetime, and I’ve always used it.

The merger of Rite Aid and Walgreens was cancelled by Walgreens, but they changed the offer to buying less than half the stores. Is that what happened to your former Brooks?

Here we have a CVS (24 hours), Walgreens, and a Rite Aid. Will have to see if the local store survives the current bankruptcy proceedings Rite Aid is going through. But I haven't used it, the CVS is a short walk from my house and being open 24 hours gets my business.

It was in the early 2000s - I think all of Brooks got eaten by RiteAid at the time. They themselves had bought out Adams before that. The terms changed so I left, and never worked for RiteAid.
