I came down with some kind of infection this past week; the PA at the doc-in-a-box informed me that Paxlovid and Xarelto (that I’m on) do not work together. I later checked, and Paxlovid greatly increases the absorption of Xarelto, thus increasing bleeding risks. Did not know this. (As an aside, I didn’t ask or even hint about a prescription for Paxlovid).

I had read that many of the heart and BP drugs can have interactions with Paxlovid.

I've been lucky, but you getting is like a sniper picking off the guy next to me.

As I might have mentioned, I've been maskeup since COVID first came to town, and have had all my shots.

I know none of that is a guarantee, but I keep on keepin' on and hope for the best.

Just one data point, I know. I got it a few years ago now; my case was relatively mild (mainly chills and loss of appetite), and my SO caught it from me. His was much worse—he had only the one vaccination and no boosters—while mine was much less: I get the boosters as they are available.
