Except for the obvious, everyone has a different definition of maltreatment. For instance, a friend thinks it's cruel that another friend has her dogs outside even tho' there is more than adequate supplies of water, food/tread and shelter (dog houses) left outside. They are never chained/tied up in the yard. They have access to interior of the house. They have regular vet care. And never ever without attention and exercise. One of them prefers to be outside most of the time because he's an Eskimo/Husky mutt. He's always hot!

WTF. on the same ballot a measure to ban male circumcision under the age of 18 will also be banned ?
WTF is in the drinking water in San Francisco ? maltreatment of peckers and pets. WTF.

I can't go along with the law as proposed, but I have a hard time being civil when people talk about the designer pet they are currently shopping for... I therefor remove myself from the situation as fast as possible...
It's just so obviously wrong to me, but I don't often get into the conversations since changing opposed opinions is almost impossible...

Lots of bills get proposed in various city councils.
Few of them are passed. News media with an axe to grind often neglect to mention this. |
