Is there really a publisher stupid enough to pay Palin $7 million for a book?

From some of the crap I've seen on the book stands, anybody can write a book. That's not to say that everybody can write a GOOD book. But who am I to prejudge Sara's first book? I'll leave it to you clairvoyants.

Language skills, my ass. PLEASE read the transcript of the Katie Couric interview and explain how you can believe that Moose Mom isn't functionally illiterate.

Write a book, HA HA HA.

Yeah but at $100 a pop she'd need to go through the entire male population of Alaska. It might take a while for her to to get to $7 million.

$100? Good deal for the first wave due to bragging rights. After a few thousand you'd have to judge the value on merit alone. Would it be tax deducible?

Given the WalMart contingency, there's a strong market for books as trophies--sitting on the shelf, never read. Cuts out the taxidermists, but hey, everybody's downsizing.
