The electoral college should be divided proportionately according to the popular vote. Does the EC have to be real people?

If the Electoral College was according to the popular vote, there would no longer be a need for it.

My understanding is that it exists to ensure that the more populated states do not completely control the elections; forever.
That is, the “State” of New York should be no more powerful than the “State” of Montana.

If I’ve got this wrong, please correct me.

Not completely correct - the way that's worded implies that every State has an equal vote in the Electoral College (regardless of population), but the reality is that each State has a number of Electors equal to that State's Congressional delegation (number of Representatives in the House, plus two (one for each Senator). Given that the number of Representatives each State has is based on population, then the Electoral College is somewhat based on population - but since each State has the same number of Senators, smaller States have more Electors than they would if the number of Electors were based solely on population.

2 very strong and capable Dem leaders have stepped forward for 2024. Their names are Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

You are kidding, correct? Kamala can't articulate a thought. And worse, she laughs at all the wrong times.

Lowest unemployment overall in 50+ years. Historic lows in African Americans and other subsets.

Annual federal deficit cut by half from the last guy. Inflation (a worldwide post-pandemic phenomenon) lower than most peer countries and on its way down further.

(Last month, ours was 5.0% Y/Y, but only 0.1% M/M. Latest numbers out tomorrow)

Historic investment in infrastructure. All-time highs in GDP and the stock market (I know, the latter from ‘21, and true at least temporarily of every presidency, but we always hear this from the GOP when their guy is in the WH, so…).

Putin contained, not indulged, with no American military deaths involved.

Sorry if you don’t like old guys (or the speaking style of the VP), but Trump is also old, and kinda deranged and amoral to boot.

Actual results matter. Culture war kabuki theater, not so much.
