Is there really a publisher stupid enough to pay Palin $7 million for a book?

Don't you figure they've seen all the books in the $1 bin about people much more substantial than her? Who is the market? Almost all of the women (who read most of the books) I know, can't stand her. The men I know might buy it if it has lots of good pictures.

I'm from Arkansas, which, along with the Appalachians, went more Republican than in 2004. Believe me, you don't want to count on Arkansans to recoup your 7 million.

The wingnut publishers, like Regnery, have a reputation of ripping off their "authors". (You know it will be ghost-written.)

I just don't see it happening.

Dennis, I am curious .....is your intellectual capacity so outstanding that you are the a qualified arbiter of who can or can't write a book? And relying on "almost all the women I know can't stand her"...well, ALL the women I know like what they see in Plain. I find the assessment of persons in the news BY contributors here like a Bull that sees RED....it may be a barn door but the Bull just charges.

They must've advanced Palin more money than a man to incur this outrage.

A. Bulls are color-blind.

B. In her very few television interviews, Palin was unable put together complete, rational thoughts about topics with which she ought to have had great familiarity, considering the office for which she was running.

ALL of them? You're hanging out with the wrong crowd. And, they must be a boring bunch if they like what they see in "Plain."
