Happy Thanksgiving!
#41
[quote Lux Interior]Did you drive through the same rain as I did on the Penna turnpike? Actually, my wife was driving.
We were a few miles north on I-80. It was NJ traffic combined with PA weather...yuck. My sister in-law lives in a McMansion near Sharon & New Castle. We're now in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do 'cept consume beer. Everyone here brought their Mac to the house for their favorite "Nerd In-Law" to repair, upgrade, etc.

[quote Lux Interior]Good old Arhn City. Does it still taste like old sponge?
Oh yeah, but when in Rome... I actually enjoyed it with some Isaly's chipped ham.

Iron City is preferable to the other beer in the house, Yuengling, which is becoming the Keystone State's answer to Coors Light.

Happy Thanksgiving, all y'all!

About to hit the road for my mom's patented holiday nut loaf. Believe me, it's awesome! Better than the best regular meatloaf I've had.

Much of our family tends towards vegetarianism or fairly infrequent meat-eating. When we get in the mood for some turkey, we have our Thanksgiving Redux party in January or February with friends.

Lots of rain last night here in the south; the pumpkin and pecan pies have cooled; the appetizers are being eaten and the turkey is an hour from being done. My wife and daughter are scouring the ads for Black Friday--as always, they won't get up in time to get the great deals, but will have a fun time trying.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Happy Thanksgiving America, the Beautiful!

We love America the beautiful and that for which it stands! The, 'can do,' American spirit is
alive and well in fly-over country. God bless the USA as we thank Him every day for our
blessings and rejoice that our wonderful country has proclaimed a special day of recognition
for Thanksgiving unto Him.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all from Montreal! Drove up with the family to spend American Thanksgiving with my oldest daughter (and her roommate and friends).
Dinner at 6 (soon!); been cooking all afternoon and dang i'm hungry!

Gonna be in the zone (the turkey zone) real soon now. I hope you all have a safe and wonderful day with those whose company you enjoy best! Be thankful for all you have; I know I am.

[quote maco][quote blooz]And a Happy, food-filled day to you all!

Edit: I suppose it's time to lose the Halloween outfit.
That's not how you normally dress?
I just KNEW someone was going to make a comment like that. Surprised there weren't more. Everybody's too busy eating, I guess.

Had a great day. Lady whose house we were at is almost as old ad me, used to sing occasionally with a band in LA called "Zoo (somebdy) and the Shiiitheads. Now she's a respectable church-going lady. Amazing how time can just ruin some people.

Enjoy the holiday! Get some bargains, and then log off this thing and get off the grid for a day or two!

ah.. winding down from carbo overload (I think it's the carbs and not the turkey meat that gives one the yawns after dinner).

nice weather here in the DC area but going to be colder on Friday.

so, who else is awake?

question: how to cap off a T-Day meal with something good for digestion?
