I voted yes but I try not to drive in the snow. Sometimes you don't have a lot of choice, if it starts snowing before you leave work...
Have you driven on snow? or not?

I have a rule that I always stay home from work on the first snow of the year. THIS YEAR, however, my boss scheduled a mandatory meeting. So, I had no choice. And it was BAAAAAAAD.
But, I did win a gift card at the mandatory meeting. ![]()

Grew up in Wisconsin. Learned how to correct steer on ice on the Lakes.
This also helps (me in the middle with red helmet): ![]() (Wyoming, in the Medicine Bow range)

Uhm, yah. I climb ski slopes in my Subaru. Well, used to, when I was younger and dumber and didn't care if the park rangers were watching.
There are a few privileged areas of the country that get to experience the joys of Lake Effect Snow off the Great Lakes. I miss it. With 12"+ snow in a few hours you don't have to worry about ice. Plenty of snow for traction to get to school/work.

Too often.
My least favorite - RWD (my '69 Z-28 was the worst) I've driven on a frozen pond and taught all my little sisters what to expect and what not to do on a frozen glazed parking lot . Better to learn what slamming on the brakes on ice and packed snow doesn't do in an empty parking lot. (back when one had to try to simulate anti-lock brakes) |
