What do you mean by "copied a document" ...?

How did you get the contents of your document from InDesign into Pages? What specific steps did you take?

What kind of document was it saved as in InDesign? I don't think Pages can open an InDesign Doc.

I copied and pasted the Paragraphs and pics.

The doc was saved as an ID doc originally. Not PDF.

So, you selected the text-boxes and picture-boxes, not the text and not the pictures individually?

Then Pages will only paste from the image-preview. It's not editable because it's a picture.

You need to select and copy the text from the text-boxes using the type tool and the images from the image-boxes using the selection tool ...separately.

When you copy from the ID doc, make sure you are copying the text, and not the object that contains the text. In text edit mode.

Then--look at the top of the Document window--does it say the name followed by "Word Processing" or "Page Layout"??

Click twice on the Paragraph and if it is a Text Box it should be able to be edited.
