Maybe, but I view it as Amazon lowering their price when they can. To be perfectly honest, I love Amazon. Preprinted labels to return items and they pay for the return if it is their fault in any way. One time I screwed up returning an item by leaving something out and they paid for both labels. Interestingly, when I called Amazon about forgetting to include the item, the customer rep misunderstood me and thought that they had somehow forgotten to include the item. He immediately apologized and was in the process of sending me another item until I corrected him. So my opinion of Amazon isn't unbiased. I'll call and ask about a lower price match from an online vendor but if they refuse, I don't get worked up about it.

If this kind of thing means so much to you, why don't you find a retailer whose policy accommodates post-order price matching? What a lot of angst about an item you apparently thought was priced just fine when you bought it.

Price drops after I buy something is one thing I don't think about and worry about.

Agreed. Amazon must not check their delivery records very closely, because everything shipped by Amazon proper (not storefront vendors) has Delivery Confirmation. Amazon should know how late any item arrives. |
