How many opiates did he need to drop to come up with this?

Somewhere I read that Rush's people inflate the numbers to bamboozle the local radio stations. Something to do with advertising. I can't remember what the deal was, but they had a unique arrangement - the stations got the show for free somehow and it really bumped up his listenership. It's not Google-worthy.

Limbaugh claimed an audience of 20 million-plus, but the hard figures show a bit south of 15 million. It's still the largest audience in the nation, but Addicting Info contends that that is not a big deal because Limbaugh is carried on so many stations. He is drawing a listenership of roughly 3,000 per station, which is not a big number at all--Addicting Info claims that left-wing talkers carried on far fewer stations average roughly 8,000 listeners per station.

I think it's all playing with stats--the lefties are probably going into cities like Minneapolis, Portland, St. Paul, San Francisco, etc. where you would expect larger left-wing audience.

Sandra Fluke is a distant memory but Rush will come to life in about 3 hours. What happened to the boycott?

I am on my iPhone so I'm not going to Google right now, but long story short the ratings numbers everyone used to cite came from Clear Channel and not a ratings service. Clear Channel owns Limbaugh. During the slut episode it came out that not only were the numbers from Clear Chanel--they were something like 7 years old.

Rush is either losing money for his owners or his earnings are way down. Not Google-worthy.

Well, now that I can Google, I'm not finding the information that I remember reading. But I am finding lots of links that confirm that the much-touted 20 million figure was never true to begin with. And that his ratings appear to be slipping in any case. So my contention is true regardless of my memory.
