just upgraded my iPhone 5 to iOS 7
#21
I'm fine with iOS7 on my 'Phone or iPads.

Overall, I haven't found anything more difficult to navigate than with 6. There are some tiny things here and there that I wish were different.

But nothing that annoys me, let alone brings my blood pressure up to the level of some of yours, here.

I like much but not all of the flat look. When I see a device still on 6, I'm surprised at how dated and clunky it looks.

But I really love the new font. That and Control Center are two of my more favorite parts of 7.

So much hatred for an operating system on a PHONE inanimate objects in general.

I can understand how somebody might like something for or less than something else, but I see people nut themselves up about the slightest, oddest things.

Pretty funny.

I agree 100% with that.

Mavericks taking away the ability to sync by USB is a deal-breaker for me.

It's coming back with the next update of the OS and iTunes.

Yup. Whether true or not, 7's new look may have been rushed into development and release as a knee-jerk reaction to Forstall's perceived failings, and Apple's desire to make iOS appear more current.

They've been whittling away at what they can to placate the complainers. I expect iOS 8 to further benefit from seasoning and reflect the time spent since then.

I spend a little time now-and-then on my daughter's iOS 7 iPhone 5. It sucks. I will stick with iOS 6 on my 5.

Well alrighty then. Apparently Apple realized what a boneheaded move that was.

There is a long thread giving some tips on how to fix the sync via USB problem:

I have had some related issues with an iPad and iOS7. I sure hope Apple puts some decent programmers onto this. It's far too slow to sync via wifi when you are cloning to replacement hardware from a backup.
