-9º F here in eastern Massachusetts. Coldest I can remember at this location.

Wind seems to have died down, though. Last night the wind was brutal.

Wind calm here too... BlackJack went out for about three minutes and ran back in. No hunting birds around the feeders for him this morning.

It has been quite a while since it was this cold . Thankfully this spate is to be short-lived.
It's tough to walk in this outside, but I still got my 4 miles in yesterday and dressing up for the biting wind and get out in it to get 4 miles in this AM shortly. A little late, but it's weekend and a tad chilly.

5 brothers and families still back in the Boston area, as of this morning only two have had a pipe freeze; all 5 hate me for calling living in California. They'll change that tune when the big one hits and find out they can't call me since it'll all be down and they'll just have to wait it out like they did in '94.

Pittdfield, MA has -18. My thermometer doesn't go that low but I bet we're close to that in Cummington.
I slept on the sofa last night rather than try to heat up the upstairs.
