100 Mbps is $50/month, but that's bundled with Uverse TV service, so YMMV.

Since July 2015 AT&T does own DirecTV and launched DirecTV Now in 2016, they are separate services and don't have the all of the same channels available the last time I checked. Main differences between DirecTV Now and uVerse are the channel lineups and how they are provided. There is a fair amount of overlap to the channel lineups, but AT&T is having to negotiate new agreements with providers to offer channels for DirecTV Now. uVerse is only offered where AT&T has fiber service, otherwise their website will bounce you to DirecTV Now offers. It requires use of their set top box. If you have uVerse service, there are apps to allow watching streaming video on smart phones and tablets. DirecTV Now is strictly streaming and uses apps on smart phones, tablets and devices like the Apple TV. It can be used with any ISP as long as you have sufficient bandwidth. I find it works okay over my DSL connection which is up to 5.5-6 mbps as long as other large downloads or uploads are not happening. My son can usually stream video at the same time to his computer as long as he sticks to 720p.

5Mbps up. 5 stinkin' Mbps up. Is that too much to ask?
I really don't want to go cable. Took a look at att and no fiber for me! $72/mo gets me phone and Internet, up to 75Mbps, and 1T data. 1 stinkin' T! How can I live on 1T?! Even worse, when I give up my grandfathered Unlimited iPhone plan, entry level is only 1G/month, then they throttle to 128k. Had I acted sooner, it would have been 3G for the same money.

I haven't called.
There probably isn't any use. I pay $66 ($6 modem rental that I'll return) for my 20/1 Sonic- phone and unlimited internet. I don't really want to pay much more. Maybe I'll call. The sticker shock may make me appreciate what I got.
