The "Dolchstosslegende", or stab-in-the-back myth, which helps explain "Stop The Steal"
#1
I found this article extremely clarifying for me, and helped me understand why so many behaved and continue to behave the way they are.

"It may well be that Germans have a special inclination to panic at specters from the past, and I admit that this alarmism annoys me at times. Yet watching President Trump’s “Stop the Steal” campaign since Election Day, I can’t help but see a parallel to one of the most dreadful episodes from Germany’s history.

One hundred years ago, amid the implosions of Imperial Germany, powerful conservatives who led the country into war refused to accept that they had lost. Their denial gave birth to arguably the most potent and disastrous political lie of the 20th century — the Dolchstosslegende, or stab-in-the-back myth."

It's important to remember that one of the few books Trump was ever seen with was a compilation of Hitler's speeches. There is no doubt he styled himself after the Fuhrer.

I did not know this. Verified by an article at Business Insider:

Such a classic liar move:

"After Trump and Brenner changed topics, Trump returned to the subject and reportedly said, "If, I had these speeches, and I am not saying that I do, I would never read them.""

Thanks for that good, short read. The percentages are quite scary, one cann only hope they ameliorate with time.

The worst part of is is the concept of a 'government in exile' that Trump is trying to sell. "Office of the Former President" indeed.

Let's face it.. his only goal is to suck cash out of his followers. He's got some major debts to pay this year, AND has to pay lawyers. Up front. Or he knows he's going to jail.

I’m enjoying the 1990 Vanity Fair article linked there, https://archive.vanityfair.com/article/s...bb9a104e0a

I’ll probably finish it tonight with a nice glass of wine.

“One of the few signs of the new owners' taste was the dozens of silver frames on the many end tables. The frames did not contain family pictures, but magazine covers. Each cover featured the face of Donald Trump.”

Hitler was 30 at the end of WWI and Trump is 74 while gorging on fast food, so the cult of personality will necessarily be shorter this time around.

Trump the Inferior, along with his demon siblings, has plenty to live for… and the teenage Trump is especially scary.
