I can only answer for myself, and for me, it would be absolutely not.
I haven't owned a color printer for over 10 years. They're just too much of a hassle. When I want color, I pay someone else to do it for me. I only own a monochrome laser printer that gets light duty. The only way I'd ever consider buying a color printer would be if it were a fine art inkjet printer, and I planned on using it a lot. However...YMMV...

So maybe -- just maybe -- someone who has shunned color printing technology for the past decade isn't the best qualified to offer an opinion on the latest color printing technology?

I bought one about a year ago and LOVE it. Still on the initial ink supply and bought a generic refill set for the future. I've gone through multiple ink jet and laser printers over the years and this is a game changer for me.

If I were looking for a new color printer I would be very interested in it. I don't like going through the cartridges, seams like a waste of material, even if they get recycled.
I currently have a Brother B&W Laser and an HP all in one color inkjet. The HP is working fine (Knock on wood). Steve

Recommended one (this one) to my Mom just the other day. She'll probably be getting it soon.

ET-4550 I've had this for about 5 years. No problems and the ink it came with lasted forever.

Can't find a direct photo. [ADDED] Here it is; the Epson Workforce Pro WF-R4640 EcoTank: |
