Depending on how adventurous you both are, there are plenty of skydiving options in the SD area. Skydiving so close to the ocean is pretty damn cool.

We took our boys to the usual “tourist traps”: Old Town San Diego. San Diego Zoo/San Diego Wild Animal park. Sea World/ , Belmont Park. Wife and I went kayaking in mission bay. Just drove there on Saturday, picked up son in Oceanside and we went to the La Jolla tide pools.
