The A13 bionic chip inside the new Apple Studio Display is there to... manage the pixels? And connected devices like the camera and speakers?
That seems like... overkill? Is there some secret sauce here that Apple could unveil? Like, can I connect a drive to the display and have it present a slideshow of images or play movies or music with no additional connected computer?
Presumably despite having an A13 built into the display it's not running iOS (or at least not a consumer-friendly version that you can interface with.)
Does it support Airplay 2?
It looks like not only does it not do anything end-user facing with that CPU, but that it also requires macOS Monterey 12.3 or iPadOS 15.4 to use it...
