Don't seem to be doing a very good job of it. And you are making a big assumption that we are not "stepping up". Biggest group opposing immigration reform is from the Southern states.

Just sending them to sanctuary cities where these people should feel welcome and treated with open arms.

Those must be the cities where people who follow the teachings of Christ live.

As opposed to "christians," who are that in name only.
I wouldn't know, I'm Jewish
I heard Jesus was, too.

FYI, you don't have to be a christian to be a decent human being, which is what it boils down to.
Maybe spell it out a little more, using words that directly and only apply to Mr645. That seems to be the demand.

Later, he can let us all know that because he doesn't live in Martha's Vineyard/FL/TX/whatever, none of this means anything.

Actually, California has more illegal undocumented immigrants than Texas and Florida combined.

Also, most (>60%) undocumented immigrants these days don’t come over the border; they arrive at lots of places, by many different modes of transportation, and overstay their visas.

And they’re not felons. In fact, many are not even illegal.

In case anyone doubts that this is pure political theater with vulnerable humans as props, today Gov. Abbott dumped 2 busloads of immigrants at the residence of the VP in Washington.

And this crime is kidnapping and inveigling.

The levels of corruptive malfeasance is so breathtaking that it's hard to put together a proper reaction.

It is.
Imagine having so little empathy for these people that you treat them like this.
I mean family separation was much worse, but this runs in the same vein of deliberate cruelty.

The JFK library posted on twitter about Reverse Freedom Rides in 1963.

Ain't nothing new under the burning sun in the racist playbook.
