It does get tedious how the right wing is always critical and always angry about Democrats. There actually was a time when both parties treated the president with some level of respect, and that included Nixon and it included Kennedy. I would guess that there are lots of things the president does not do on any one day or even any one month. I'm not aware that he has visited the midwestern states during the cold snap, he hasn't made a big deal about the draught in the far west, and I haven't seen any major American response to North Korean missile testing. I would guess that the reason we're not hearing a lot about these things is that the nieu reichsministrifurpropaganda at Fox has not yet chosen them to complain about. When they do, we will hear about it from every talk radio channel and people who watch Sean Hannity.
tl;dr: The Republican approach is to be nothing but negative about each and every Democrat at all times, regardless of whether or not their actions are good or bad for the country.

Dewine initially said he received an offer of help from the feds, but did not see a need for it. It took a while before he reversed course and accepted federal government help.

He may have changed his mind when it was pointed out that rail transport is federally regulated. Also when the scale of the damage was made clear to him. One of the byproducts of burning vinyl chloride monomer is large amounts of hydrochloric acid, that is going to have an effect for miles around the burn pits they created and in the runoff into local streams and rivers. |
