Best websites to look for used cars?
#11
I used Truecar (actually via AAA's "car buying service" which is really a front for Truecar, and not really buying service, more like a referral service.)

If you want to include used cars from new car dealerships, not all such dealers have their inventory linked into the big sites like CarGurus, so you may want to just visit those dealers you like directly.

Strive for something like this. It's a little over-priced but it will go another 100,000 miles on minimal service dollars.

Here

A near 20 year old car for $10K?!?!? You should be able to get a 10 year old for about that much!

My list that I currently am using:

https://www.cargurus.com/

https://www.carfax.com/

https://www.cars.com/

https://www.carsoup.com/

https://www.autotempest.com/results

All of which have been mentioned already but this has not; if you want to see the original window sticker for newer models and you have the VIN check here:

https://windowstickerlookup.com/

Buying a new EV and want to see if it qualifies for a tax credit:

https://www.irs.gov/credits-deductions/c...3-or-after

Buying a used EV and want to see if it qualifies for a tax credit:

https://www.irs.gov/credits-deductions/u...cle-credit

For the above tax credits you need to buy from a dealer. Buying used from a private party but want the credit? See:

All depends upon what you're shopping for. Welcome to the used car market.

If I needed a late-model used in a hurry, say to replace a wreck, I'd seriously consider Carvana or the like.

Carvana carries some Toyotas and Hondas as far back as 2010.

I thought I heard somewhere that they were selling flood damaged cars without disclosure.

Carvana is not to be trusted, but no used car dealer should be
