T&D is not a brain trust for solving world problems, though a few massive egos think they have all the answers. To be fair, AdamHenries can populate just about any forum.

It *is* a coffee klatch forum, and as such just about anything goes. If OWC Larry wanted to keep this strictly a T&D forum, this place would be as dead as many here claim dealmac is.

Rachel Ray is mainstream and Paris Hilton isn't? BS. Hilton is certainly main stream, given how quickly people post about hating her. You don't get that being obscure.

There's bad TV, good TV, and great TV and degrees in between. RR is easy enough to avoid, and falls somewhere between the first two categories. A network thinks they can sell her perkiness. Time will tell.

Oprah has no real entertainment talent, but does have very good business acumen.

Ray may make it yet. If she does, I'll have to read about it here.

decocritter is writing about somebody he thinks doesn't deserve all the attention she's getting. That makes no sense. Every time her name gets mentioned, her teeth get a little more sparkly. Rachel Ray is the most irritating personality! Rachel Ray can't cook! Rachel Ray is more famous now than she was before this thread was born.

When somebody posts photos of a new kitten, I don't pop in to say it's a waste of bandwidth. I don't care, so I don't click on it, but y'all are welcome to make chitchat.

I clicked on this thread because all y'all keep talking about her, and I've seen her once, on Letterman, and thought she was cute. But this isn't even the first mrf thread devoted to her. Rachel Ray this, Rachel Ray that. At least that earlier thread wasn't being ironical, intentionally or otherwise.

Not for about 7 years.
Mystery Science Theater 3000 has always been MST3K and was never "Mystery Science Theater 2000". I think this rumor came about because Joel started giving interviews about how he thought up the show and was going to initially going to name it "Mystery Science Theater 2000", but it was already close to that year so he gave it the "Mystery Science Theater 3000" name.
