I can't imagine what it would be like to have my babies in the car for a week, starving, cold and helpless. I don't know if I would have done all of the right things, but I know there would be terror in my heart regarding their safety. There weren't many options and it would be tough to keep my head.

Here's a twist I just heard on the evening news: Apparently the road the Kims got on should have been closed off with a gate. The Oregon officials are saying vandals had broken the lock and opened the gate; if it had been closed as it should have been, the Kim family would not have been able to drive into the area in which they got lost.
