grabbing video from a DVD to edit??
#1
I got a DVD of a performance filmed by our local cablevision, but the whole 1.5 hr show is one track - I'd like to extract the 20min segment that is my part and make a new dvd of that. iMovie and QuickTime won't recognize the format, VLC will show it and says that it will transcode it to mpeg1 or 2 or 4 but iMovie still won't recognize the output. I tried Toast, but it won't edit the file. Am I going about this all wrong? The dvd has a video_TS folder and in it are a .VOB file, .IFO file and a .BUP file...

I'm trying it right now - says it'll take 2 hours but we'll see how it goes!
Thanks...
