What would you do? (accept an expensive gift)

[quote ka jowct]hey ka jowct I have a present for you.

Just to be clear: some forum regulars seem to think I'm male. Are you one of them?
No I think he realizes you're female. As is CJ. You responded that she should put out for this present. So he's got a present for you.

Its written in the forum bylaws that all posters will be assumed to be male until they can prove otherwise.

Have proof?
Personally, I always thought it was the other way around and have been waiting for the battle of the flash drives. Big Grin

I understand where you're coming from. I've said it myself (when he bought another coworker a 60gig video iPod). That's just the way he is. He bought flowers and a box of chocolate for each woman in the building for Valentine's Day today. He's a sweetie.

Serious statement.
I would never accept expensive gifts from someone at work.
Also, HR should have had a talk with this person a long time a go, what he is doing is very inappropriate. If anything happens at work, they can be held liable. It really sounds like what he is doing is not a secret.

Does he buy expensive gifts for just the women in the office?

If it was the other way around.. and some "sweetie" of a woman in the office gave expensive $500 gifts to only the men in the office, it would be really wierd.
