10.4.10 time!

Considering the mess that Apple's Airport 7.1 and 7.1.1 updates have caused to my clients' set-ups, I think I'll wait a week or two on this one. I think all of Apple's brains are in the iPhone department right now and everything else is getting back-burnered.
YMMV, as always.

That's so not exclamation point-worthy.
The software update that should never have been (10.5 would be OK), not to mention the fact that 10.4.10 comes right after 10.4.1 in a list sorted numerically.

Try listing these in the Finder: Mac OS 10.4.1 Mac OS 10.4.2 Mac OS 10.4.10 They will list as you see here, not as 1, then 10, then 2. So there's no problem.

At least it puts to rest the eternal question -- "what will they name the update after 10.4.9?"

Downloaded - installed - requires a double restart. Everything seems stable here.

Anyone have Alchemy DVR software installed and install this update? Last couple of OS updates and security updates I have installed needed a reinstall of the Miglia Alchemy software to work properly. Kept prompting me to reenter my password every time I scheduled something to record and after every scheduled recording finished. Wondering if this update will require the same. If so, I need to give myself extra time to do both. Version of Alchemy I have been using is 2.4.1, found the 2.5 version froze my system completely at random times requiring a forced shutdown.

10.4.10 is not equivalent to 10.4.1
Those periods are NOT decimals. It is like having two IP addresses: 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.10, both of which are separate and distinct. 192.168.1.1 192.168.1.2 192.168.1.3 192.168.1.4 192.168.1.5 192.168.1.6 192.168.1.7 192.168.1.8 192.168.1.9 192.168.1.10 192.168.1.11

Have you taken a look at the version numbers for Google Earth and Skype? They appear to have passed .10 a long time ago. |
