Server memory DOES work in Mac Pro
#1
WOO-HOO!

In reference to this thread:

I had purchased kingston server memory for CHEAP and was hoping to switch the heat sinks and install.

WORKED!

My MP is a PC2-667mhz machine. The memory was kingston KTA-XE800K2/8G - it's for the current gen of servers (800MHz).

My machine reads it properly at 667 and it seems to be running a little cooler than the memory it replaced. That's an 8GB upgrade for $170. $31 would be better, but I'll take it ;-)
