You can access the internet with an iPod?
I guess I've really not been paying attention . . .

deckeda,

Inside joke about a gift from the boss. I actually wrapped up the Touch and put "From: The Boss" on the tag. I am self-employed.

I didn't want my daughter to find out I bought a new iPod before she got hers for Christmas.

It really is a great device. Surf the net, send/receive email, sync calendars and contacts. I am waiting to get the earphones with a mic so I can make calls on it via VOIP.

There are soooo many apps out there for it.

I love it!

I'm on my touch now! When it starts spelling a word for you in
the little box how do you select it?

I figured it out, just hit the Space bar and it inserts automatically.

Best Christmas gift the boss ever gave me!

The typing is going to take a little practice.

This is my idea of the perfect PDA!

Which size did you get?

16 GB model.

I figured it wouldn't hurt to have some extra room on hand incase I have to transfer some files for work.

With the $50 off that I got through the newegg/paypal deal, I couldn't go wrong going with the larger model.

My daughter and I spent the whole day downloading apps and figuring things out. She got a kick out of being able to chat with her friends using her iPod Touch.

I want to find a "Back to my Mac" type app that will let me screen share with my Mac Pro for those times I need to get access to a file when I am out of town and don't have my MacBook with me.

After spending the day with the iPod Touch; I can tell Apple has hit a grand slam home run with the iPhone/iPod Touch/App Store. They not only have a very capable PDA but a great game platform.

I would say if anyone is sitting on the fence whether or not to purchase one; go for it! I would have bought an iPhone but we don't have ATT cell coverage where I live. I kept hoping they would put up a tower or something. In the end, I'm very happy I bought an iPod Touch. So much more versatile than my old 5th gen iPod was. Love the touch screen interface.

Stop twisting my arm already! I said I didn't want or need anything for Christmas, but deep down the one thing I was really hoping for was an iPod Touch. I'm a terrible hinter—at least for a nearly $300 item.

After the hub bub dies down a little, I might have to treat my self to a little New Year's present.

I set up a friend with the remote app, airport express, and a G4 tower as a media server. Works great, and the family loves it!
