I speak from experience - just keep redialing. I had to keep trying for over 30 minutes when my claim wasn't being paid and I'd received no indication of why it was not, just notices to continue submitting claims. When I finally punched through, the representative was extremely helpful and stayed with me (by giving me a fax number where I could fax to her specifically rather than dealing with the busy signal) until the issue was resolved. She actually phoned me back when the resolution was complete to let me know when to expect the check.

But the best part is that it gives me an 800 number to call...which is BUSY! No message. No on hold. Just busy!

I guess I'm luckier.
I get a message at least. It says "due to the unusually high number of calls, we cannot take your call at this time. Call back tomorrow."

hey! I got through!

Too bad the office is now closed. So apparently they have an automated system when the office is closed, but not during the day to handle the deluge of calls. Yep. Sounds like the government.

Wow! That IS annoying!
I'm unemployed, too, so also feel your pain. Ugh!
Do you have an email where you can ask questions? I've used it (in VA) and had a reply fairly quickly.
Good luck!

The email page states that there is a 3 to 5 day wait for a response. I sent one anyway. But seeing as they don't have a decent phone system set up, I'm not holding out much hope for email.
