We will be in Vegas for one night in July and want to go out for a very nice dinner. Last time, we really enjoyed Delmonico's. We were considering Nobu this time, as we've never been there. What other favorites do people have? We're looking in the $100-125 per person range...
Thanks.

It's probably Bartolotta Ristorante di Mare at Wynn Las Vegas. Bartolotta won a James Beard Best Chef award last year.

Love, love, love Nobu. My suggestion is tell the wait person what you don't like and just have them start bringing out stuff. They aren't big fans of wasabi and soy sauce, BTW.
As a Chicagoan, I have to ask you - is Nobu similar to Japonais? We've been to Japonais several times and loved it, but if it is very similar, then maybe we'll try something else...

I have only been to Japonais twice. Once was part of a group thing that had a set menu, and the second was for a couple appetizers and drinks, so I haven't had the "real" experience! Sorry I can't be more help in that area.
You might want to check out Chowhound, there is tons of good info there.

Not your upscale Vegas experience, but if you want excellent food prepared by an excellent chef go to Lotus of Siam.

There is a pretty good McDonalds there. I suppose it is possible to get $100 per person.

Alizé Review:
The glittery Alizé (the French word for trade wind) belongs to Chef André Rochat. In addition to one of the best views west of the Mississippi -- the restaurant is on the 56th floor of the Palms' tower -- it boasts a superb wine list, a loyal following and the creative South African Jacques Van Staden in the kitchen. Among several new interesting dishes are pan-seared foie gras with crispy duck confit and pink grapefruit, Colorado lamb with morels, English peas and goat-cheese ravioli.

One of the best meals I've ever had was at the Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in Vegas. It's in an unassuming-looking little strip mall on the north side of the I-15.
