Tax Day! What we pay and where it goes compared to other countries.

I thought this was an interesting graphic posted on the BBC site http://www.bbc.com/capital/story/2015021...s-go-where. In sum, it looks like we pay a less tax than the main western countries, put a lot more towards defense and health, and way less on social welfare and resources.

We pay for most of NATO. So much for the EU. They are getting a free ride.

And I assume that's not counting state and local taxes. . .

BTW, "social welfare, pensions, benefits" are not at all the same things; unless that's all for those on the dole.

Making under $200K? Then your tax bill is most likely less than 23%.
