Good thing I don't drink coffee though I enjoy its daily aroma from S/O's morning cup of java.

So, Proctor and Gambell now owns Millstone? My friend never mentioned that her dad sold the business.

It's real coffee. But just as some think good wine has a screw top, others prefer certain coffee beans/blends that have been freshly and correctly roasted Wink

Judging by their advertising and packaging, I thought Millstone was always a big, corporate front attempting to get shelf space in the whole bean section of your megamart's shelves. But I guess there are still a few big food brands that are family-run businesses (Smuckers is the example that first comes to mind).

I became a friend of Millstone's founder's daughter at a wedding I photographed. She was one of the bridesmaids. (and one hot teutonic babe too)

Millstone started out as a small local Seattle coffee bean roaster, and just grew. her dad must have sold out and retired, or is running it as a division head.

Folgers is not real coffee. Brown Water that is made from old stale grinds.

"P&G, the largest U.S. roaster, raised Folgers Ground by 10 cents or 4 percent per 10.5 to 13 ounce package equivalent, said Bryan Brown."

It'll go up 30-50ยข in the store.
