A year or so ago my (grown-up) daughter took her G4 iBook to an Apple store, in Richmond, VA, I think, hoping for advice on replacing the keyboard, from which her cat had ripped a few keys.
She says the 'genius' there was extremely rude, arrogant, and unhelpful, and basically sent her packing. I eventually found the keyboard on-line, and gave it to her as a Christmas present.
Sounds like 'genius' training is fallling down on the job.

I also got a call after filling out a survey from when I purchased two iMacs.
Basically when I said I want a deal on a pair of 20" iMacs for my business, the sales person suggested I come back tomorrow when a business sales person is on staff, they had all left for the day (it was 8pm)
I told them I would rather buy them right now.......He went and got the manager.

That's what happens when your employment policy is to only hire teenagers previously fired from Banana Republic.
